‼️Сегодня исполнилось 26 лет со дня страшного пожара в здании Управления внутренних дел Самарской области, который произошел 10-го февраля 1999 года. Огонь полностью уничтожил здание, его не стали восстанавливать. В настоящее время на этом месте находится вечный огонь и мемориал с именами жертв пожара. Трагедия унесла жизни 57 человек, многих семей коснулась эта беда.

10 февраля 2025 года у мемориала памяти прошли траурные мероприятия, в котором приняли участие вице-губернатор Самарской области Максим Владимирович Ковалев, начальник ГУ МВД России по Самарской области Игорь Геннадьевич Иванов, исполняющий обязанности руководителя следственного управления Александр Владимирович Воеводин, руководители и сотрудники правоохранительных органов и силовых ведомств, сотрудники и ветераны органов внутренних дел, а также друзья и близкие погибших.

Все присутствующие возложили цветы к вечному огню, почтили память сотрудников органов дел минутой молчания.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. The perpetrators use various names to carry out the investment scams. They may also impersonate or clone licensed capital market intermediaries by using the names, logos, credentials, websites and other details of the legitimate entities to promote the illegal schemes.
