В столице полицейские оттесняют собравшихся от «Стены скорби». Один из сотрудников полиции посоветовал собравшимся «скорбеть в метро». Нескольких человек, в том числе вставших в пикеты с плакатами, задержали.

В Петербурге задержания проходят у Соловецкого камня, куда люди пришли возложить цветы.

Среди задержанных — священник Апостольской православной церкви Григорий Михнов-Вайтенко, который собирался провести панихиду по Навальному. Издание «Бумага» сообщает, что несмотря на задержание последнего у мемориала все же прошла панихида. После ее окончания полиция задержала минимум 7 человек.
