Здание не является памятником, а имеет статус объекта исторической застройки. Нежилое, законсервированное уже несколько лет.

Восстановление старинного здания планировалось на 2025 год по программе «Дом за рубль», демонтаж — на ноябрь 2024-го. При этом проект восстановления еще не согласован. С осени 2023 года здание находится в аренде у предпринимателя Сергея Лысова.

«Подрядчик перед сносом здания снял декор, он будет сохранен. Полностью дом сносить не будут, дальше работы по разбору объекта будут идти вручную», — пишет журналистка Олеся Бутолина со ссылкой на мэрию.
