Два дракона символизируют два противоположных начала - инь и ян. А шар - это жемчужина, символ Вселенной. Драконы борются за жемчужину, но она не достается ни одному из них, потому что необходимое условие гармонии в мире - баланс инь и ян.

Так объясняет значение этого восточного космогонического символа вьетнамский исследователь Нгуен Ву Туан Ань.
