Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. But because group chats and the channel features are not end-to-end encrypted, Galperin said user privacy is potentially under threat. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern.
