«ولمَّا احتمل رسول الله ﷺ هذا الحكم الكوني الأمري [= صلح الحديبية مع ما فيه من الشِّدَّة]؛ الذي حَكَمَ اللهُ له به، ورضي به، وأقرَّ به، ودخل تحته طوعًا وانقيادًا -وهو الفتح الذي فتح الله له- أثابه الله عليه بأربعة أشياء: مغفرة ما تقدم من ذنبه وما تأخر، وإتمام نعمته عليه، وهدايته صراطًا مستقيمًا، ونصر الله له نصرًا عزيزًا.
وبهذا يقع جواب السؤال الذي أورده بعضهم هاهنا، فقال: كيف يكون حكم الله له بذلك علة لهذه الأمور الأربعة؛ إذ يقول تعالى: ﴿إِنّا فَتَحنا لَكَ فَتحًا مُبينًا لِيَغفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ ما تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنبِكَ وَما تَأَخَّرَ وَيُتِمَّ نِعمَتَهُ عَلَيكَ وَيَهدِيَكَ صِراطًا مُستَقيمًا﴾.
وجوابه ما ذكرنا: أن تسليمه لهذا الحكم، والرضا به، والانقياد له، والدخول تحته؛ أوجب له أن آتاه الله ذلك».
