В Кишиневе сотрудники Службы информации и безопасности (СИБ) задержали Дмитрия Чистилина, ученого-экономиста с украинским и российским гражданствами.
Об этом сообщило украинское агентство УНИАН. Отмечается, что политолога арестовали без права освобождения под залог.
По информации Службы безопасности Украины (СБУ), Чистилин пытался вернуться в Москву через третьи страны, но был передан Украине, где ему предъявили обвинение в государственной измене.
Ему грозит пожизненное заключение с конфискацией имущества.

Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. The channel appears to be part of the broader information war that has developed following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin has paid Russian TikTok influencers to push propaganda, according to a Vice News investigation, while ProPublica found that fake Russian fact check videos had been viewed over a million times on Telegram. The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised.
