محمد ابراهیم باستانی پاریزی: «استاد فقید، علامه طباطبایی، آن وقتی که تفسیر المیزان را می‌نوشتند، وقتی به تفسیر سورۀ کهف رسیدند، خُب متوجه شده بودند که کتاب ابوالکلام را من ترجمه کرده‌ام و منتشر شده است. نامه‌ای مرقوم داشتند به من، و یک نسخه از این کتاب خواستند و من تقدیم کردم خدمت‌شان. نظری که ایشان در تفسیرِ خودشان داشتند، گفتار «ابوالکلام آزاد» را نقل کردند و گفتارهای دیگر را هم؛ در مجموع نتیجه گرفتند که تا نظریۀ تازۀ دیگری در باب ذوالقرنین داده نشود، می‌شود قبول کرد که ذوالقرنین همان کورُش کبیر است.»
پی‌نوشت: مولانا ابوالکلام محی‌الدین احمد آزاد (۱۱ نوامبر ۱۸۸۸ – ۲۲ فوریه ۱۹۵۸) شاعر، سخنور، سیاست‌مدار و مفسر قرآن که مدتی رهبری حزب کنگرۀ ملی هند را به عهده داشت. او تفسیری نیز از قرآن به زبان اردو دارد که توسط باستانی پاریزی به فارسی برگردان شده‌است.
