🇷🇺🇿🇦 23 августа «на полях» саммита БРИКС состоялась встреча С.В.Лаврова с Министром международных отношений и сотрудничества Южно-Африканской Республики Н.Пандор.

Затронуты различные аспекты российско-южноафриканского стратегического партнёрства, включая укрепление политических, торгово-экономических и гуманитарных связей. Подчёркнута нацеленность двух стран на более тесную координацию действий в ООН, БРИКС и на других авторитетных площадках по актуальным темам международной и региональной повестки дня.

С.В.Лавров высоко оценил усилия южноафриканского председательства в БРИКС, проходящего под девизом «БРИКС и Африка: партнёрство в интересах совместного ускоренного роста, устойчивого развития и инклюзивной многосторонности», и выразил уверенность, что Йоханнесбургская встреча в верхах станет важным шагом вперёд на пути углубления взаимодействия в формате БРИКС-Африка.
