Лаборатория солнечной астрономии ИКИ и ИСЗФ сообщает, что утром 30 декабря на Солнце произошла сильная вспышка, из-за которой в космос было выброшено два плазменных облака. До Земли они дойдут как раз к Новому году. Это приведет к тому, что на территории России, в том числе и Ростовской области, произойдут две мощнейшие геомагнитные бури, которые и могут вызвать северное сияние.
Астрономы рассказали, что есть вероятность того, что полярное сияние появится в предновогодние часы. Его можно будет увидеть в центральной части страны и, возможно, в донском регионе.
