Петроградский районный суд г. Санкт-Петербурга огласил приговор по уголовному делу в отношении Артура Барбынца, который обвинялся в совершении преступлений, предусмотренных п.б ч.4 ст.158 УК РФ (8 эпизодов).
В последнем слове Барбынца просил строго его не наказывать, назначить минимальное наказание, чтобы он мог работать и возмещать ущерб потерпевшим, а также обеспечивать семью, поскольку имеет малолетних детей. Также он принес свои извинения.
Суд квалифицировал действия Барбынца как одно длящееся преступление, предусмотренное п.б ч.4 ст.158 УК РФ, и назначил наказание в виде лишения свободы сроком на 5 лет в ИК общего режима со штрафом в размере 200 000 рублей.

Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. Russians and Ukrainians are both prolific users of Telegram. They rely on the app for channels that act as newsfeeds, group chats (both public and private), and one-to-one communication. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Ukrainian forces have since put up a strong resistance to the Russian troops amid the war that has left hundreds of Ukrainian civilians, including children, dead, according to the United Nations. Ukrainian and international officials have accused Russia of targeting civilian populations with shelling and bombardments.
