از نظر اعضا و رهبران گروه القاعده، آمریکا خطر بزرگی برای اسلام است؛ به همین خاطر برنامه‌های خود را در جهت ضربه به این کشور طراحی و اجرا می‌کردند که حملات ۱۱ سپتامبر یکی از آن‌هاست.

در آن روز علاوه‌بر ربوده شدن ۴ فروند هواپیمای مسافربری، مراکز مهمی چون ساختمان پنتاگون و برج‌های مرکز تجارت جهانی مورد حمله قرار گرفتند و دولت آمریکا را متحمل خسارات سنگین اقتصادی کردند.
به‌علاوه، سلسله رخدادهای متاثر از ۱۱ سپتامبر، اهمیت این رویداد را چند برابر کرده است.

Telegram boasts 500 million users, who share information individually and in groups in relative security. But Telegram's use as a one-way broadcast channel — which followers can join but not reply to — means content from inauthentic accounts can easily reach large, captive and eager audiences. Stocks closed in the red Friday as investors weighed upbeat remarks from Russian President Vladimir Putin about diplomatic discussions with Ukraine against a weaker-than-expected print on U.S. consumer sentiment. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” At this point, however, Durov had already been working on Telegram with his brother, and further planned a mobile-first social network with an explicit focus on anti-censorship. Later in April, he told TechCrunch that he had left Russia and had “no plans to go back,” saying that the nation was currently “incompatible with internet business at the moment.” He added later that he was looking for a country that matched his libertarian ideals to base his next startup.
