🕯Вчера, 24 февраля, ушел из жизни замечательный человек, талантливый фотограф, один из первых фотокорреспондентов газеты «Восход-Ванино» — Николай Алексеевич Чукин. Ему было 86 лет.
Николай Алексеевич умел оживлять застывшие изображения, наполняя их будущим. Его работы словно переносили в реальность, передавая краски, запахи и движение. Такое под силу лишь настоящему мастеру.
Уход Николая Алексеевича — невосполнимая утрата для Ванинского района и всего Хабаровского края. Его вклад в развитие местной культуры трудно переоценить. Он был настоящим художником, который умел видеть красоту в повседневности и делиться ею с окружающими. Его работы будут жить в книгах, альбомах и сердцах людей, напоминая о его любви к родному краю и его неповторимом взгляде на мир. Память о нем навсегда сохранится в сердцах тех, кто его знал и ценил.
Я выражаю глубокие соболезнования семье и близким Николая Алексеевича. Светлая ему память.

Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. Emerson Brooking, a disinformation expert at the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, said: "Back in the Wild West period of content moderation, like 2014 or 2015, maybe they could have gotten away with it, but it stands in marked contrast with how other companies run themselves today."
