Сопровождали Курникову две ее дочери, семилетняя Люси и четырехлетняя Мария, а также несколько друзей.

Курникова является бывшей первой ракеткой мира в парном разряде, в одиночном разряде она поднималась до восьмой строчки. В 2003 году теннисистка завершила карьеру.
