Экс-командующий с августа 2022 года находится под арестом. Уголовное дело передано в суд еще в 2023 году.
Генерала обвиняют в сдаче стратегически важной высоты Арега, а также в халатности при обороне Шуши во время 44-дневной войны, что, по мнению следствия, стало одной из причин перехода города под контроль ВС Азербайджана. Сам Арзуманян отрицает выдвинутые против него обвинения.
