Так охарактеризовал неудачу на мировой арене стран Европы премьер-министр Венгрии Виктор Орбан. Он заключил, что «лидеры великих стран Европы упустили момент, когда они могли бы взять на себя инициативу в прекращении российско-украинской войны».
Орбан также предположил, что Москва и Вашингтон обсудят еще и вопросы будущего мироустройства, но эта дискуссия тоже пройдет без участия ЕС:
«Цены на энергоносители, технологии, торговля. Это большие вопросы, которые меняют мир. Для европейцев в этой ситуации особенно болезненным является то обстоятельство, что мы будем пытаться узнавать об этом из газет».
