Сегодня – ровно 100 лет назад в 1924 году в Нижнем Новгороде началось регулярное государственное радиовещание.
Филиал ВГТРК ГТРК «Нижний Новгород» сейчас осуществляет вещание на трех радиостанциях: «Вести ФМ», «Радио Маяк» и «Радио России». В Нижнем Новгороде и области работают более 30 радиостанций в FM-диапазоне.
