Psalm 105:8 states...

"He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations"

Emphasizing Gods faithfulness and enduring commitment to his promises

"He remembers his covenant forever..."

This phrase highlights Gods unwavering memory and commitment to the agreements He has made

"...the promise he made..."

This refers to the promises God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, which are central to the covenantal relationship between God and His people

"...for a thousand generations"

This phrase underscores the enduring nature of Gods promises, extending across countless generations

Context of Psalm 105...

The psalm as a whole celebrates God's faithfulness and the history of His dealings with the nation of Israel, focusing on His promises and their fulfillment

~Psalm 105:9-10
Continues the theme, mentioning the covenant with Abraham, the oath to Isaac, and its confirmation to Jacob and Israel as an everlasting covenant

This is part of Pauls letter to the Corinthians where he contrasts the old covenant (represented by the law) with the new covenant in Christ

"The Lord is the Spirit"

Paul asserts that the Lord referring to God is the Spirit, emphasizing the Holy Spirits divine nature and unity with God

"Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom"

This freedom isn't a license to sin but rather liberation from the bondage of the law and the power of sin allowing believers to live in the grace and truth of the new covenant

Paul also mentions that through faith in Christ and the power of the Spirit, the veil that keeps people from seeing Gods glory is removed and Gods glory is revealed in the person of Jesus Christ

The presence of the Spirit brings transformation moving believers from glory to glory as they contemplate the Lords glory with unveiled faces

Those who contemplate the Lords glory with unveiled faces are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory which comes from the Lord who is the Spirit
