Сегодня, кстати, задумался о том, что высшая степень крутости бренда — когда он становится именем нарицательным.

Я говорю "гуглить", подразумевая поиск. "Памперсы" — просто подгузники.

Казалось бы, это успех. Бренд стал частью языка!

Вот только проблема в том, что со временем такие имена теряют свою уникальность. Вроде когда-то все знали, что фломастер — это Flo-Master, а термос — это Thermos. А сейчас? Это просто слова, которые мы используем на повседневке, не задумываясь

Да, бренд становится частью жизни, но и исчезает как отдельная единица. Иронично, что когда ты достигаешь пика, тебя уже не всегда будут помнить как бренд, а просто как очередное слово в языке 😏

Так что круто быть нарицательным. Но будьте готовы, что история иногда забывает тех, кто был первым 🥂

At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. Stocks dropped on Friday afternoon, as gains made earlier in the day on hopes for diplomatic progress between Russia and Ukraine turned to losses. Technology stocks were hit particularly hard by higher bond yields.
