По информации журналистов, силовики опросили губернатора в его кабинете и, возможно, изъяли документы. Источник редакции в правительстве региона сообщил, что сотрудники ФСБ требовали бумаги по строительству трассы «Западная хорда» и застройке Левого берега Ростова.
4 ноября ростовский губернатор Василий Голубев объявил в своем телеграм-канале, что уходит в отставку. Причиной он назвал «переход на другую работу», какую именно не уточняется. Голубев возглавлял регион с 2010 года.
