Мне было сегодня годиков, когда я узнала о существовании слова tweenager, или tween. Наткнулась на него в описании сюжета сериала Dream Productions. Это интерквел (еще одно слово-мутант, но его я знаю) «Головоломки» и «Головоломки 2», то есть действие разворачивается между событиями этих двух картин.

Речь пойдет о киностудии, где производятся мечты для Райли. Хочется верить, что одним из героев станет пиксельный краш девочки Ланс Слэшблэйд, который абсолютно гениально укатывал врагов во второй части. Сериал короткий, 4 эпизода, выйдет целиком 11 декабря на Disney+.

Так вот слово tweenager, образованное от be(tween) и (teen)ager, обозначает ребенка предпубертатного возраста, примерно от 8 до 12 лет. Теперь знаю, как буду обзывать сына в этот ~~адский~~ сложный и противоречивый период его жизни.
