6 декабря 2023 🇬🇧 Министерство иностранных дел, по делам Содружества наций и развития (МИД) включило в санкционный список Семёна Мкртычовича Симоняна. Отдельно отметим, что кроме ФИО не привело никакой идентифицирующей информации (дата и место рождения, № паспорта и т.д.).
Включение в санкционный список объяснялось получением выгоды от 🇷🇺 Правительства или оказанием ему поддержки. Основание – занятие им поста члена совета директоров в АО Авиамоторный Научно-технический комплекс «Союз».
17 октября он был исключён из списка в результате административного пересмотра. Ведомство допустило ошибку, поскольку г-н Симонян покинул пост ещё до февраля 2022 года.
Имеем случай пересмотра нахождения под санкциями за 8 месяцев.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. Lastly, the web previews of t.me links have been given a new look, adding chat backgrounds and design elements from the fully-features Telegram Web client. "The argument from Telegram is, 'You should trust us because we tell you that we're trustworthy,'" Maréchal said. "It's really in the eye of the beholder whether that's something you want to buy into."
