89 seconds to midnight. Or how to spend time profitably on the eve of the Third World War.
The Russian-Ukrainian war demonstrates the illusory nature of popular ideas about the strength of peace and the relentless advance of social progress. Moreover, the very risk of new Russian expansions into the EU has revealed the inability of old defense alliances to fulfill their declared tasks. Even if the war does not directly affect European countries in the coming years, militarization will significantly affect the usual proportions of state budgets, the level of democratic freedoms, social policy, the influence of right-wing movements, and the protection of private life.
What does the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war teach us?
What should anarchists and democratic leftists prepare for?
What organizational forms are most resistant to social upheavals?
We suggest talking about this with Ukrainian combatant, activist of the organization "Social Movement" Fedir Ustynov.
The event will also include an action of solidarity with Denis Matsola and Vladislav "Iskra" Zhuravlev, left-wing activists who have been tortured in Russian captivity for over three years.
Fedir Ustinov is a member of the Ukrainian leftist organization Sotsialnyj Rukh (Social Movement), an experienced student and union activist who joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the start of the full-scale Russian invasion. During his military leave, he has permission to visit Europe and is using this opportunity to share his thoughts with European comrades.

Repost
As continuation of our project Women*Visibility*inAktion25 , we’re hosting a seminar on activist solidarities in the context of Russian imperialism.
Often dismissed as a “second-rate” empire, Russia continues to wield imperial and colonial violence—through war, racism, and political control—both within and beyond its borders.
Indigenous communities and countries across the former Soviet space have endured this for centuries. Yet Russian imperialism is frequently overlooked in global anti-colonial discourse, and resistance to it remains marginalized.
This seminar brings together voices from affected regions to ask:
-How does Russian imperialism fit into global systems of domination?
-How can Ukraine’s resistance be seen as part of broader struggles?
-How do we amplify historically oppressed voices?
Let’s build solidarity through honest dialogue & collective strategy.
When: July 7, 17–20:30
Where: trixiewiz e.V.,

Screening of "Transindigenous Assembly" by Joulia Strauss with discussion & collective cooking with Adiba and Kanykei Kyzy
July 10, 18.00
Spore Initiative
Hermannstraße 86
The documentary follows queer Aboriginal and Indigenous artists and their inventions of the “good life”.
Transindigenous Assembly takes us on a journey from knowledge-rich island to knowledge-rich island, guided by Joulia Strauss who plays an Ancient Greek lyre along the way while narrating this “Odyssey” from the perspective of an ecofeminist Siren. Living on the receiving end of the Empire, they have invented lives worth living. The idea of bringing all these protagonists together in one film is intended to inspire an alternative planetary politics.

This Saturday let’s dive into the weekend together: after the demo, whether you want to learn more about organising, or need some cosines with tea, warm company & perhaps a little body work, camp is the place to be.
12:00 - Working groups, plenary and onboarding!
13:00 - Handala Sets Sail!
An exclusive live stream with Yasemin Acar from the Flotilla before her next mission on the Handala. Hear from Yasemin about her on the ground / water actions, & learn how we can effectively build on and develop our organised resistance where we are.
17:00 - Arabic Language and Culture Session that enriches our minds with the beautiful spoken and written Arabic language, its various dialectic nuances, & diverse cultural knowledge from the region.
18:00- Body Work Salon: Weekly NADA Session at camp!
The Body Work Salon is a free, weekly, queer-run bodywork clinic for comrades one an all!
The NADA protocol involves the acupuncture of 5 ear points in a special setting. It can be an effective treatment for people suffering from stress, trauma, & a wide variety of mental health conditions. Comrades sit quietly in a group setting for 30-45 minutes to experience the effects together.
19:00 - Anarchist Organising with Jara - Part 1 - Basic Principles
Have you ever gotten stuck organising an action and you can't understand why? Have you ever found yourself spending eight hours on one share pic, and ended up with the same design you had at the beginning? Have you ever found yourself repeating the same patterns again and again?
Sounds like you need some ✨✨ANARCHISM ✨✨
Join BgB member Jara in a workshop discussing some basic principles of anarchist organising, and how you can implement them in your everyday political activism, based on experiences with BgB.
20:00 Daily Yelling at Merz's office!
He has complained about us, so lets keep it up ;)
