Пока китайские ВВС отрабатывают удары по авиабазам США, американцы закончили восстановление своей старой авиабазы на острове Тиниан в Тихом океане. Восстановили 4 взлетно-посадочные полосы и рулежные дорожки. Предполагается разместить там запасы топлива и инфраструктуру на случай если вдруг случится что то нехорошее с основной базой ВВС США на о. Гуам. От Тиниана до Тайваня 2 500 км. Для стратегической авиации США расстояние лайтовое. В 1945 году небольшой остров Тиниан был самым загруженным аэроузлом на планете: здесь было 6 ВПП, с которых Б-29 работали по Японии. Именно с Тиниана взлетали самолеты, сбросившие на Японию атомные бомбы. После войны базу забросили, и вот сейчас восстановили. Это лишь один из проектов по активному строительству военной инфраструктуры в индо-тихоакеанском регионе. За 2023 год США потратили на это 3,6 млрд. долларов. Такие дела.
