🔻پلاستیک‌ها امروزه بخش بزرگی از زندگی روزمره ما را تشکیل می‌دهند. اما استفاده زیاد از آنها باعث ایجاد بحران‌های زیست‌محیطی مانند آلودگی دریاها و دشت‌ها شده است.
🔻پلاستیک‌های زیست تخریب‌پذیر: این پلاستیک‌ها به ترکیبات ساده‌تری مانند آب، دی‌اکسید کربن، و مواد آلی تجزیه می‌شوند و اثرات منفی کمتری بر محیط زیست دارند. و به عنوان یک راه‌حل مؤثر برای کاهش آلودگی پلاستیکی مطرح شده‌اند.
🔻اما تجزیه‌پذیر چی؟ این اصطلاح به موادی اشاره دارد که قابلیت تجزیه شدن را دارند، اما ممکن است این فرایند به واسطه شرایط خاصی (مانند دما و رطوبت) انجام شود و لزوماً به وسیله میکروارگانیسم‌ها نباشد، در نتیجه به اجزای کوچک‌تری تبدیل می‌شوند. یکی از مشکلات دیگر آنها این است که مواد افزودنی استفاده شده برای تجزیه آنها در بازیافت مداخله می‌کنند و به همین دلیل قابلیت بازیافت ندارند.
