Машина быстро ушла под воду, поэтому спасатели и водолазы не смогли помочь пострадавшим, так как все двери были заблокированы.
По первоначальной информации, один человек смог выбраться через багажник. Тело водителя было обнаружено в реке: он не смог выбраться из упавшего Volkswagen.
Автомобиль был найден на глубине 3 метров и отнесен на 15 метров от берега Лужнецкой набережной.
