پژوهشی جدید به تاثیرات نوروپلاستیک سیلوسین، LSD، DMT، کتامین، فلوکستین و لیتیوم و مقایسه‌ی آثارشان بر سیناپس‌زایی پرداخته. برای بررسی سیناپس‌زایی، تغییرات در تعداد پانکتاهای سیناپسی اندازه‌گیری شدند. پانکتاهای سیناپسی به دسته‌هایی از پروتئین‌های نشانگر پیش‌سیناپسی و پس‌سیناپسی می‌گویند که در حین شکل‌گیری سیناپس‌ها تشکیل می‌شوند. همچنین به بیان ژنی تعدادی ژن دخیل در نوروپلاستیسیتی بر اثر داروهای مذکور نیز پرداخته شده. مشاهده شد که سیلوسین تعداد پانکتاهای سیناپسی را افزایش داده و تاثیرش بر سیناپس‌زایی قابل مقایسه با کتامین و لیتیوم بوده، در حالی که فلوکستین، LSD و DMT اثر قابل توجهی نگذاشته‌اند. مقایسه‌ی نتایج این پژوهش با مقاله‌ای که پیش‌تر درباره‌ی عدم تاثیر سایکدلیک‌ها بر نوروپلاستیسیتی به اشتراک گذاشته بودیم قابل توجه است.

A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions. Meanwhile, while the price of WTI crude oil slipped from Sunday’s multiyear high $130 of barrel to $109 a pop. Markets have been expecting heavy restrictions on Russian oil, some of which the U.S. has already imposed, and that would reduce the global supply and bring about even more burdensome inflation. What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych. Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes.
