В Грузии прямо сейчас происходят масштабные акции протеста. Причиной стало заявление премьер-министра страны о заморозке до конца 2028 года вопроса переговоров о вступлении в ЕС.

Протестующие собрались у здания парламента в Тбилиси, вскоре начались стычки с полицией. Также на место прибыл спецназ. Сообщается о троих пострадавших сотрудниках МВД. СМИ также пишут о применении перцового газа и дымовых шашек против демонстрантов.

На акцию приехала и президент Грузии Саломе Зурабишвили. Она вместе с частью протестующих направилась от парламента к площади Свободы и пыталась разговаривать с силовиками, задавая им вопросы, кому они служат – Грузии или России

Apparently upbeat developments in Russia's discussions with Ukraine helped at least temporarily send investors back into risk assets. Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko that there were "certain positive developments" occurring in the talks with Ukraine, according to a transcript of their meeting. Putin added that discussions were happening "almost on a daily basis." The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Kyiv-based lawyer and head of the Center for Civil Liberties, called Durov’s position "very weak," and urged concrete improvements.
