С 2021 по 2024 годы по федеральной программе «Устранение цифрового неравенства» нацпроекта «Цифровая экономика» (с 2025 года – «Экономика данных и цифровая трансформация государства») в Иркутской области обеспечили доступом к услугам связи стандарта 4G 79 населенных пунктов, в которых проживает от 100 до 500 человек. В 2025 году эта работа будет продолжена. Также в ходе встречи Игорь Кобзев предложил компании «Ростелеком»рассмотреть возможность расширения покрытия сотовой связью малых сёл.
