Скульптура «Первый камень» появилась в Ижевске в 1979 году. Но узор на ней не удмуртский, а узбекский — художник-монументалист Александр Жарский участвовал в восстановлении Ташкента после землетрясения и решил украсить местным орнаментом новый ижевский микрорайон.

Этой осенью арт-объект привели в порядок волонтеры «Том Сойер Феста»: расчистили слои старой краски, нанесли новую и поставили рядом со скульптурой информационную табличку.
