Чиновники ссылаются на режим особо охраняемой природной территории: поселок находится на территории Каштакского бора, и ничего строить и прокладывать здесь нельзя.
Каждая зима для жителей превращается в «ледниковый период», сменяются мэры и губернаторы, но ничего не меняется в поселке Каштак. «Слуги народа глухи и слепы, за людей нас не считают!», — возмущаются граждане.
