Наибольшее число незаконных лесозаготовок приходится на зимний период. За первый квартал 2021 года в России было нелегально вырублено 59,1 млн га леса, 75% пришлось на Сибирь. В лидирующих регионах за три месяца выявлено 49 случаев неправомерной вырубки леса объемом более 50 тыс. кубометров. Ущерб составил 437 млн рублей.
