Ухтинский горсуд 12 июля 2021 года удовлетворил ходатайство В.Торлопова, отбывающего наказание в исправительной колонии №29, об условно-досрочном освобождении. Постановление в законную силу не вступило, его обжаловала прокуратура. В сентябре Верховный суд республики удовлетворил апелляционное представление прокуратуры.
Срок в колонии для экс-главы истекал в январе 2023 года..
