Bears are often seen pausing to take in breathtaking views, hinting at a possible sense of beauty. In the wild, they've been spotted sitting silently for long stretches, gazing at sunsets, lakes, and mountains. Not hunting, not moving, just watching. Scientists have few explanations for this behavior, other than the idea that bears might simply enjoy the scenery.
This wasn't staged. No animal trainer, no movie set. Just a bear doing what came naturally, wrote Maureen Enns, who lived in Russia’s Kamchatka wilderness in the 1990s with her husband to explore peaceful coexistence with bears. This very photo inspired years of observation and a series of paintings, many created inside bear dens.

Omophagia, or omophagy (from Greek ωμός "raw") is the mythical ritual of eating raw meat. The term is of importance in the context of the cult worship of Dionysus.
Omophagia is a large element of Dionysiac myth; in fact, one of Dionysus' epithets is Omophagos "Raw-Eater". Omophagia may have been a symbol of the triumph of wild nature over civilization, and a symbol of the breaking down of boundaries between nature and civilization. It might also have been symbolic that the worshippers were internalizing Dionysus' wilder traits and his association with brute nature, in a sort of "communion" with the god.

Do you ever allow your mind a moment of peace?
We're always watching a screen, listening to music or podcasts, conversing or socialising. But how can we expect to have good mental health when we never allow ourselves time to process the barrage of information we're constantly being fed? I believe that many modern mental problems are the result of this neglect.
Go for a walk every day (without your phone). I recommend first thing in the morning, if you can, because it allows you some 'distance' from the last consumption of information the day before. It allows your mind to filter and organise the info you've taken in, to work out which of it really matters, which needs acting upon, and what your independent opinion on things really is.

"Most people in the so-called West are in such a way culturally trained and socialized that their short-term comfort is their highest good - no matter what they claim otherwise. This comfort ultimately takes precedence over the well-being of their families and the development of their children."
