Как вы знаете, после 70-летних страшных гонений в ХХ веке Церковь получила, наконец, свободу и с 1988 года началось её возрождение.
Тогда множество разрушенных за годы безбожия храмов и монастырей государство стало возвращать Церкви. Одной из таких обителей была и знаменитая Оптина пустынь в Калужской области России.
Среди первых насельников, возрождавших этот монастырь, был и убиенный от руки сатаниста в Пасхальную ночь 18 апреля 1993 года иеромонах Василий (Росляков). Было ему тогда всего 32 года.
