Такое похабное отношение к историческому памятнику у сахалинцев вызвало волну негодования и возмущения. Позже фотография разрушенной стелы даже стала мемом в социальных сетях.
В таком наплевательском отношении к памяти о российском летчике-космонавте, который был усыпан грязью, обвинили вице-мэра. Именно он принял решение о сносе и пошел под суд по уголовному делу о самоуправстве.
