Вслед за Астаной торжественная церемония поднятия флага по случаю Дня Республики прошла и в Алматы. В южной столице госсимвол подняли на флагштоке, расположенном у ледового комплекса Медеу.
Сопровождалась церемония хоровым исполнением гимна собравшимися.
