Посредством телемоста в круглом столе приняли участие представители исполнительных, законодательных органов государственной власти, Общественных палат, молодежных объединений Архангельской, Мурманской, Калининградской, Ленинградской, Костромской областей, Санкт-Петербурга, Москвы и Республики Карелия. История морского дела, Военно-Морского Флота России и освоения Арктики является частью общегражданской идентичности, культурного кода россиян. О том, что делается сегодня для того, чтобы сохранить память о важнейших страницах истории, связанных с морем, исследованием морских глубин, морскими баталиями, а также о новых подходах, позволяющих заинтересовать разные поколения, участникам встречи рассказали сотрудники Архангельского регионального отделения военно-исторического общества, городского историко-краеведческого музея города Полярный (Мурманская область), Музея Мирового океана (г. Калининград).
