جاء ذلك في تصريحات لوكيل محافظة تعز الدكتور عبدالقوي المخلافي، عقب زيارة قام بها رفقة رئيس نيابة استئناف المحافظة القاضي محمد سلطان، لعضو نيابة استئناف المحافظة القاضي عبدالعزيز السفياني، الذي يتلقى العلاج بمستشفى الثورة العام إثر تعرضه لإصابة بالغة، جراء عملية قنص من قبل جماعة الحوثي، وهو بجوار منزله في منطقة صالة.

Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea.
