Особое внимание было уделено углублению практического сотрудничества на высокотехнологичных и инновационных направлениях. Состоялся обмен мнениями о перспективах наращивания контактов АСЕАН с Евразийским экономическим союзом и Шанхайской организацией сотрудничества.
Као Кимхорн был приглашён посетить с визитом Российскую Федерацию.
