Крюйсу, первый командующий Балтийским флотом (1705—1713), о формировании первого полка морских солдат. 27 ноября принято считать датой рождения морской пехоты, так как в этот день был опубликован указ о создании Морского полка.
В 2025 году будем праздновать 300-летие русской морской пехоты.
