По предложению президента России Владимира Владимировича Путина назначен временно исполняющим обязанности главы Тамбовской области.
Для меня это большая честь и доверие. Как участник Президентской кадровой программы "Время героев", чувствую высокую ответственность за возложенную задачу. Многие мои товарищи по программе уже работают на различных должностях, кому-то ещё предстоит назначение. И главное здесь - очень серьёзная теоретическая и практическая подготовка в рамках программы.
Готов много и регулярно общаться с жителями, экспертами, общественниками, журналистами. Нужно не только решать объективно существующие проблемы, но и понимать точки роста, возможности для развития региона. Буду использовать для этого весь опыт, полученный на посту мэра Краснодара и депутата Государственной Думы.

Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. As a result, the pandemic saw many newcomers to Telegram, including prominent anti-vaccine activists who used the app's hands-off approach to share false information on shots, a study from the Institute for Strategic Dialogue shows. Telegram has become more interventionist over time, and has steadily increased its efforts to shut down these accounts. But this has also meant that the company has also engaged with lawmakers more generally, although it maintains that it doesn’t do so willingly. For instance, in September 2021, Telegram reportedly blocked a chat bot in support of (Putin critic) Alexei Navalny during Russia’s most recent parliamentary elections. Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores. "For Telegram, accountability has always been a problem, which is why it was so popular even before the full-scale war with far-right extremists and terrorists from all over the world," she told AFP from her safe house outside the Ukrainian capital.
