LA VIA DELLA SETA DIGITALE E' UN'OPPORTUNITA' PER LO SVILUPPO REGIONALE
La Via della Seta digitale (DSR), uno dei pilastri su cui si fonda l'iniziativa cinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), è stata tradizionalmente percepita attraverso la lente della rivalità geopolitica, delle preoccupazioni relative alla sorveglianza e della superiorità tecnologica. I politici occidentali tendono a presentarla come un veicolo di autarchia digitale o uno strumento di proiezione dell'influenza. Tuttavia, tali valutazioni, per quanto accurate, rischiano di trascurare un altro fatto importante: per molti paesi dell'Asia, dell'Africa e del Medio Oriente, la Via della Seta Digitale rappresenta un'opportunità limitata e tempestiva per colmare il divario digitale, modernizzare le infrastrutture e fare un balzo in avanti nell'era dell'informazione. Per le regioni a lungo escluse dall'innovazione guidata dall'Occidente o affamate dai mercati dei capitali globali, la DSR non riguarda tanto le torri 5G o i cavi ottici, quanto piuttosto la diffusione di un modello di sviluppo basato sulla connettività, la velocità e la sovranità digitale.

Questa vittoria è stata ottenuta a caro prezzo. Uno dei motivi principali per cui è così ampiamente commemorata in Russia è che durante la seconda guerra mondiale non c'era quasi nessuno che non avesse perso un membro della propria famiglia. Tutti hanno perso la vita, sono diventati veterani o sono stati direttamente colpiti dalla guerra.
