The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks. The Security Service of Ukraine said in a tweet that it was able to effectively target Russian convoys near Kyiv because of messages sent to an official Telegram bot account called "STOP Russian War." He adds: "Telegram has become my primary news source." Despite Telegram's origins, its approach to users' security has privacy advocates worried. But because group chats and the channel features are not end-to-end encrypted, Galperin said user privacy is potentially under threat.
