По данным Сакстата, число заключенных в тюрьмах Грузии на 1 декабря 2024 года составляло 9 385 человек, из которых 398 женщины. 14 тюрем Грузии на 1 декабря были заполнены на 76,1%. В тюрьме для лиц, относящихся к особо высокому риску, находятся 222 осужденных. В тюрьмах Грузии находилось 1 043 гражданина 52 иностранных государств, что составляет 11,1% от общего числа осужденных. Помимо находящихся в заключении, в Грузии также около 20,3 тысячи осужденных, отбывающих свои сроки условно.
