In the beta version of Telegram for Android 11.2.0, users can now report content for more different reasons than was previously available.
The content report menu now includes reasons such as “Illegal goods”, “Personal data”, “Copyright”, and some others.
Some items in the report menu, such as “Scam or spam”, are now sections in which the user can specify more detailed reason for the complaint.
When selecting some reasons, the application prompts the user to add a text comment. It is noteworthy that when selecting reasons ”I don't like it” and “It's not illegal, but it must be taken down”, it is impossible to specify a comment.

And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. Additionally, investors are often instructed to deposit monies into personal bank accounts of individuals who claim to represent a legitimate entity, and/or into an unrelated corporate account. To lend credence and to lure unsuspecting victims, perpetrators usually claim that their entity and/or the investment schemes are approved by financial authorities. Asked about its stance on disinformation, Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn told AFP: "As noted by our CEO, the sheer volume of information being shared on channels makes it extremely difficult to verify, so it's important that users double-check what they read." Investors took profits on Friday while they could ahead of the weekend, explained Tom Essaye, founder of Sevens Report Research. Saturday and Sunday could easily bring unfortunate news on the war front—and traders would rather be able to sell any recent winnings at Friday’s earlier prices than wait for a potentially lower price at Monday’s open.
