Wishing you a blessed 4th day of Yule!

On this day we honor Aegir, Freyr, and Njord.

Aegir was known for his great hospitality. Always hosting the Gods gladly and making sure they were well provided for. In all things except, the Mead which wld inevitably run out. One of the most well known stories in our Lore is that of Tyr and Thor Traveling to procure a cauldron large enough for Aegir that he would be able to brew enough Mead to host the Gods without being short of Mead.

Think upon the hospitable nature of Aegir today. Do you embody this in relation to your people?

 Hospitality is a virtue.

It's how we show care and respect for those in our lives. In this Yule season do not allow the world to make you feel so busy in the holiday rush that you forget this virtue. Be a gracious host. Spend time with those you love and care for and treat them to the best you have to offer. There will be reciprocity in the giving of hospitality. One of the greatest gifts of the season. Helping build those bonds of kinship. So set a cup of Mead for Aegir this night and thank him for his example in being the most gracious of hosts.

And, Njord. Njord is known for his connection to prosperity. Multiplying wealth. On this day perhaps set your intentions of what it is you wld wish to grow your prosperity in. Write down your goal in this. Light a candle for Njord, and/or give Blot to him. Take the paper you wrote your intentions of prosperity on and burn it, sending it off in request to Njord. If you live by the water, go and leave him a gift this night, write your intentions of prosperity and leave them to him in the water.

Freyr. Also a God of prosperity but tonight consider his other aspect, as God of the harvest. What did you harvest this year? What rewards did you plant the seeds of and see to fruition this year? The literal harvest of fields for your family and community? The rewards of hard work in your profession? Light a candle or give Blot to Freyr as well and honor what has been reaped. And thank him for the blessings. Ask that he be with you in the new year when you plant these new imtentions and seeds of the future.

Take time throughout today also to think on love. What sweetness in life would there be without those we love to share it with? Who but those we love would be there to take our hand in the hard times or to raise a glass with us in celebrating life's achievements?

There are many kinds of love, the excitement of a lover in the blushing bud of new and fragile love. Just embarking on the adventure of discovery together.

Or in the time tested and True love that has been tempered by the fires of this life and still has the power to heal or encourage with a look or a touch.

The love of a child. Dependent on you and looking into your eyes with youthful adoration and trust.

The love of a parent or one who has had a hand in guiding you through the perils and triumphs of your life, with an encouraging word or a shoulder to lay your weary head on for a brief respit, when the world has taken a little to much from you.

Remember to honor the love you recieve, and your ability to to give it back in equal measure today.

Sending you love and wishes of prosperity and peace over what you have reaped this year.

Hail Aegir!
Hail Njord!
Hail Freyr!

Russian President Vladimir Putin launched Russia's invasion of Ukraine in the early-morning hours of February 24, targeting several key cities with military strikes. "He has kind of an old-school cyber-libertarian world view where technology is there to set you free," Maréchal said. Telegram was founded in 2013 by two Russian brothers, Nikolai and Pavel Durov. For Oleksandra Tsekhanovska, head of the Hybrid Warfare Analytical Group at the Kyiv-based Ukraine Crisis Media Center, the effects are both near- and far-reaching. Now safely in France with his spouse and three of his children, Kliuchnikov scrolls through Telegram to learn about the devastation happening in his home country.
