Добавлю ещё, что мне не близок формат книжного клуба, в который приглашают автора. Переводчик как первый читатель и человек, наиболее погруженнный в текст - да, автор - категорически нет.
Книжный клуб - безопасное пространство для диалога и интерпретации текста, это не место гарцевать перед автором или, наоборот, стесняться, молчать, зажиматься.
