⚡🎓New InteRussia fellowship in Oriental studies

📢The Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund are launching a call for applications for the InteRussia scientific and research fellowship in Oriental studies. The first round will be organised in English and hosted at the IOS RAS from April 1-29, 2025.

❗️The main advantage of the program is an opportunity to work under the guidance of leading Russian scholars from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, take part in expert sessions at universities and think tanks, exchange experiences with counterparts from various countries and immerse into Russian academia.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻The fellowship is designed for foreign specialists from post-Soviet, the Middle East or North Africa states. Requirements: age 24-39; professional command of English (CEFR C1 and higher); academic status - a Ph.D. degree or at least 3 years of working experience at academic institutions/think tanks or Ph.D. studies in progress; absence of any employment/previous enrollment in academic programs/other relations with the IOS RAS.

📩Applicants must sign up on the English version of the Gorchakov Fund’s website and submit a research proposal on the selected area of study.

🔖Applicants for the fellowship will be selected on a competitive basis.

⏰The deadline for applications is February 16, 11:59 p.m. Moscow time (UTC +3).

📌The organisers will cover the following costs: travel expenses to/from Moscow; double room in a hotel; visa support; a scholarship of RUB 30,000 for the duration of the fellowship. The following costs are borne by the participants: medical insurance; meals during the fellowship.
