На ТВД Украины резко возросло количестве уничтоженных и трофейных командно-штабных машин M577, выполненных на шасси бронетранспортера M113.

В отчетах западных военных аналитиков по уничтоженной бронетехнике, стала преобладающим именно эта «коробочка». В 2024 году, количество уничтоженных КШМ ВСУ на базе M113 заняло первое место в рейтингах. Связывают это в первую очередь с нехваткой тяжелой техники и «переизбытком» личного состава. Т.е., люди в пехотных и штурмовых подразделениях ВСУ не обеспечены тяжелой техникой для штурмов. Ее осталось мало, основные подразделения переброшены в Курскую область.
А на остальных участках фронта, ВСУ вынуждены использовать М113 и КШМ М577 на их базе на ЛБС. Для чего они не предназначены и часто становятся добычей наших дронщиков и птурщиков.
